This is a fantastic place to stay - I shouldn't really say that cos I don't want too many people booking it up in the future but the fact is it is and they will. I hope you enjoy it as much as us.

A beautiful apartment with views over the stunning Woolacombe bay beach. The penthouse provides a really relaxed setting to enjoy your break. The kitchen is spacious with enough utensils, pans, bowls to see you through the week, just don't forget your oven gloves! The bedrooms are well sized and were perfect for our 4 children. The lounge/dining area was what made the penthouse a truly relaxing experience for us as the kids could settle down after a long day in front of the tv, whilst an additional sitting area looking over the bay provided an adult space without being disconnected from the kids. Only note of caution is if you're staying and it's windy, to move all of the decking furniture to the kitchen to avoid any accidents. Finally having spoken with the Ocean Cottages team throughout our stay m, their customer service was exemplary and there was always somebody on the end of the phone. All in all I would definitely recommend a stay at this property.

Our fourth time in the Penthouse. Ten days in May 2024. The property never ceases to delight us. Woolacombe is as unspoiled and beautiful a seaside location as we have ever found. Highly recommended. Five stars.

The Penthouse apartment has the best view in Woolacombe. Our family has been returning for the past 8 years. Accommodation and location, hard to beat.

Stayed for three nights. Looking out over the bay was the definite highlight although it’s position during a very windy period made for a sleepless night as it was so noisy. The effort to cram in as many beds as possible made the bedrooms a little awkward and felt mean which was a shame but otherwise very comfortable. Overall I would definitely recommend.

Woolacombe has always been one of our favourite places to go on holiday. When we found the penthouse, through Ocean Cottages we were really excited to get there and we’re not disappointed when we arrived. The penthouse is very spacious it has excellent bedrooms the kitchen is fully equipped and the dining/lounge areas are excellent places to sit in the evenings watching the sunset over the bay. It’s a short walk to the beach and also other areas of Woolacombe too. We were also really happy with the ability to come out of the penthouse and walk to the local bars and restaurants which made our stay even more enjoyable! Couple of points to note. Having read some of the reviews prior to booking. I can see why some people called out the fridge/freezer as an issue. A bit of a design fault there as you can’t open the freezer door fully due to the steps to the back sliding doors being in the way. It’s a small point but one worth bearing in mind if you are choosing to bring your own food with you. Also the check-in/checkout times. Whilst we understand the need to ensure the apartment is deep cleaned, a 6 pm check-in and 9 am check out was in our opinion a little OTT. It meant we lost a half day when arriving and lost at least half day when departing. It’s not so much of an issue if you are travelling “locally” but when you are travelling across the country, it is a difficult time to arrive/depart given traffic that you will encounter. As we say it’s a small issue but one you should be aware of when booking.

We stayed here last year, and nothing has changed; the exceptional overall quality remains. There were a couple of small issues, but Ocean Cottages' response and rectification, along with their communication throughout our stay, were at an impressively high level.

Had the absolute best stay at the Penthouse Woolacombe with Ocean Cottages. Excellent property with fantastic views. Really comfortable and clean. First time staying with Ocean Cottages and they were brilliant with lots of communication and information before, during and after our stay. Will definitely use them again and hope to stay at the Penthouse in the future!

Great location for a family holiday, stunning views, close to everything. Great restaurants nearby, great beach and crazy golf. Only slight issue is there are only 2 parking spaces which isn't ideal when the property sleeps 10. No parking close by.

We have recently returned from a weeks stay with 5 adults and 2 children at The Penthouse Narracott, which met all our needs. The accommodation was superb, with comfortable beds, a spacious living area, reserved parking for 2 cars and fabulous views. Shops and restaurants were all nearby, and the beach a short walk away. A great location for a holiday in Woolacombe.

The spaciousness and amenities of and within the Penthouse are very impressive and the 180 degree panoramic view means there is always something to attract attention. We have, for at least the last 10 years, holidayed elsewhere within Narracott; the Penthouse is by far the best, and Ocean Cottages' communication was very, very good throughout. All in all; our stay was very worthy of a 5 star rating. My only perception: if a funicular could please be built from the bottom of Sandy Lane directly to the Penthouse balcony !!

Such a greet place for a family holiday

Penthouse with stunning views over Woolacombe Bay. Have rent in Woolacombe before this was a different league with very spacious area and a large wooden dining room table. By useful for food as covid 19 was keeping all the outside restaurants too busy. We had 6 adults and a 6 month old granddaughter, so spacious room The fridge was too small for weekly shop !!! Would visit again as best views in Woolacombe

Great location, overlooking Woolcombe bay. Perfect family holiday with a mix of beach, entertainment and a good choice of places to eat.

We love staying here. The view is just the best in woolacombe. Could do with a tidy up? ie. balcony could do with a bit of paint and deck stain but it doesn't spoil it. We will be back next year. Thanks Kerry

The Penthouse apartment was lovely with plenty of space to live without being in each other's way. It was clean and comfortable and and located in a lovely block which was very quiet. It had a great big balcony to sit on that ran all the way around so you had the sun from morning until night. But, the icing on the cake was the fantastic views. Because of the amazing balcony It overlooked the hills and the beach and was positioned in the best spot possible. To just sit and look at those views was amazing. It was a 5 min walk to the beach and the shops and eating places were just over the road. A lovely apartment which I would definitely return to.

A two-week family stay loved by everyone! The Penthouse is spacious, comfortable and well-appointed. It would be impossible to leave a review without mentioning the stunning views, something you could never tire of, come rain or shine. Brilliant location, close to a beautiful beach and a good selection of restaurants and bars. We're already talking about our next trip!

Was looking for an apartment for a family holiday and couldn't of asked for a better one than this!! The apartment is amazing inside but gets even better once the doors are open and you are out on the enormous balcony with its wonderful views! Perfect location right by the beach, bars and shops. It does get warm when the sun is out but once the doors are open wide and the breeze comes through it's fine and you spend all of your time on the balcony! The main bedroom is next to the living room which may seem strange to some but the morning light and views are worth it! As a family we loved this apartment and will definitely be booking again I would recommend it to everyone!!

Gorgeous apartment, stunning sea views, perfect location, child friendly, short walk to the sandy beach and a short walk to Barricane beach. Easy parking and Ocean cottages as a company excellent! We love Woolacombe so we've now found the perfect place to stay when we return for future breaks.

We stayed here for May bank holiday .... We can't have wished for a more Amazing place at the Narracott Penthouse ..... The views alone are to die for !!! Accommodation & facilities are faultless .... We definitely will be returning !! We all had such a FABULOUS weekend!! Thank~you

We stayed with our parents and had a fantstic time.the views from the place are amazing . There is building work going on but didnt effect us- the builders were were friendly and offered to help us when needed anything. The place had everything you need and more, very clean and spacious. The house keeper/manager was friendly and was easy to contact when we needed her. Only tiny negative was no hooks to hang coats up. With six of us we had to leave them in hall on floor The hall is huge so could easily fit hooks up and as we had no children would have been easier if the bunkbeds flattened to wall to make more space..Other than that couldn't fault the place. Wish we could have stayed longer fab place for relaxing and entertaining. Woolacombe is lovely with shops bars, restaurants and fab beach and walks. Would definitely recommend this place to others.

Wonderful apartment! Slightly warm in the sun, but not complaining about the good weather!! We had a great holiday and will definitely be booking through Ocean Cottages again.

August 2016 - Had a wonderful relaxing holiday at the the Penthouse Narracott. The Penthouse itself is impressive and provides excellent accommodation, with the views over Woolacombe Bay being most beautiful. It was beyond our expectations and I would most definitely recommend it !

A stunning place to stay with our family, even staying in on rainy days was fun and the views amazing. A well equipped kitchen and the cake on arrival was most welcomed. Will definitely come again.

The location of this penthouse apartment is excellent being very close to main beach, shops, restaurants, bus stop, etc. There are also 2 reserved car park spaces. Inside, the apartment has the most amazing views over the bay, with large wrap round conservatory / balcony. Ideal for large families as plenty of room. The lounge area has 5 x 3 seater settees and they look lost in it. The master bedroom is curtained off from the lounge which may not be suitable for some, but was fine for us.

The amazing views from the conservatory of this lovely apartment made it a holiday to remember. The apartment is very spacious and we really appreciated the extra touches such as the cake left for us in the kitchen when we arrived and the windbreak for the beach provided.The apartment is literally a few minutes walk from the shops and the beach and Woolacombe had everything we needed for a week's beach/surfing/coastal walks holiday. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Wow, we had an amazing week in a beautiful apartment which met all our needs and more. The panoramic views from the windows were breath taking: amazing skylines, and sunsets. We were very fortunate to have lovely weather and made use of the sliding doors, which opened onto the balcony where you could sit and enjoy the weather and the views.

Stunning location, cross 1 road and you're at Woolacombe beach, 30 second walk if that. The building itself is absolutely amazing, easy parking, few stairs up or use the elevator. Building is really quiet, we didn't once hear any of the other apartments. And the Penthouse is just superb, large, well furnished, clean, the view is just unbelievable. Literally only issue is the fridge is quite small so if you're going as a big group you'll need to be careful what you take, but we just ate out most the time anyway so no problem for us. We shall definitely be re-booking for next year!

Stayed in march 2014. Beautiful apartment, large living space and comfortable bedrooms. Very clean. 4 stars rather than 5 as the glass conservatory area has no roof blinds and it got really really hot on the sunny days and this was only in march!

The apartment was everything we hoped for having seen the website photos. The location was excellent and it was very relaxing to people and surfer watch from the 180° balcony. There is more than enough seating, equipment etc for a large party although the 10 people capacity includes two bunks and a travel cot. All in all, a wonderful stay and one that will be repeated!

We stayed at The Penthouse for a long weekend, six adults and one toddler, it was brilliant. We were taken aback on entering the apartment as it was so spacious and grand. The views are stunning and there is everything that you could possibly need at the apartment. We highly recommend a trip to the Woolacombe Fyrer (chip shop) and also the Woolacombe Bay hotel brasserie, both excellent places for food :) The beds and bed linen were very comfortable Would love to return to the Penthouse

What a fantastic place to stay,the views are just beautiful,lovely central location.The weather was superb which was an absolute bonus.we stayed as a family & found the penthouse a great place to cook & socialise having great family time together,we loved it that much we booked up straight away for next year.

Penthouse with stunning views over Woolacombe Bay. Fabulous bifold doors - could sit in the lounge out of the wind, but still feel you are outside. Everything within walking distance, with the bonus of 2 parking spaces. More than enough crockery etc. Fridge very small, so don't be too organised and do a massive shop beforehand!

Penthouse and view couldn't be improved. The weather was mixed but the storms were incredible. We would like to come back one day.

This property has the WOW factor. We arrived on a sunny day and were immediately able to open the conservatory fully and enjoy the full effect that the property has to offer. The accommodation is fantastically roomy, light and airy and flows straight out onto the decking. Lovely central location.

This is an amazing property and has the WOW factor. The location is perfect & amenities first class. Photo's do not do this property justice - you have to see it to believe it. I pinched myself every morning when i saw the view and the whole family (age range 2 - 59) felt like pop stars. We had fantastic weather & an epic thunder storm - with a birds eye view! With 3 parking spaces, lift access and every appliance you need for a perfect holiday this is our favourite holiday apartment ever. Can't wait till next year - we WILL return and will book for 2 weeks next year (if funds avail) as we did not want to leave!
