Living/Dining/Cooking
The fantastic vaulted ceiling in the open plan kitchen/living/dining area gives the property an open, spacious feel - perfect for hosting the whole family and enjoying each others company after a long day at the beach. A smart TV is provided for your entertainment. The lounge area has comfortable seating for 6 guests and a large glazed wall with doors leading out to the patio keeps the property bright throughout the year.
A dining table and chairs for 6 guests is provided in this spacious living area, along with a trendy breakfast bar in the kitchen area giving an additional area to enjoy the culinary treats whipped up in the well-equipped kitchen.
The kitchen is situated in the heart of the home, meaning the chef is never left out of the holiday fun! There is plenty of worktop space and integrated appliances to make life as easy as possible.
Sleeping
The Breakers benefits from having two en-suite bedrooms on the ground floor. The twin bedroom is accessed from the main entrance hall. A double room is accessed from the living area, at the bottom of the stairs.
To the first floor, there is a kingsize bedroom.
Bathing
To the first floor there is a family bathroom (no shower) and to the ground floor, both bedrooms each have an en-suite shower room. Outside there is a hose available for washing down boards, wetsuits and sandy feet!
Outside
The property benefits from an internal doorway from the main entrance hall to the garage. This space can be used to store bikes/boards etc. A washer, dryer can be found in the utility area of the garage.
The garden is laid with patio and stone chippings with several shrubs and a hedged boundary to the Tarka Trail. A hot tub is available (*charges apply)
The driveway has parking for two vehicles and the property is located next to the Tarka Trail and therefore perfect for enjoying some lovely bike rides along the North Devon coast.

Additional Booking Information
£60 non-refundable booking fee payable at time of booking.
50% of the accommodation cost and booking fee are required to secure the booking. The remaining balance & payment for any extras is due 8 weeks prior to arrival along with the refundable damages deposit (if applicable). If your dates are within 10 weeks, full payment is required.
Check-in time is from 4pm and the check-out time is 10am.

Please note, to ensure optimum cleanliness & hygiene of the hot tub, it will be completely emptied, cleaned, sanitised and re-filled with water and chemicals on your arrival day. Therefore, the hot tub may not be up to temperature until the morning after your arrival.

The Breakers was the perfect accommodation for us as two families coming together for a short break . It was clean , well equipped and comfortable and so light and airy . We particularly liked the fact that we could all be together in the open plan living room /dining/kitchen whilst we were preparing family meals in the evening . The linen was cool and the beds comfortable each room having its own bathroom which was a huge bonus . It was definitely a dog friendly cottage and easy to keep them in the huge living area and out of the bedrooms . The bonus stoned garden was perfect to let them have some playtime but they were usually too shattered from running on the beautiful beaches nearby . Parking was adequate and instructions clear as was the communication with Claire from the housekeeping team . Will definitely return or try out one of your other cottages within your company as you were all so easy to deal with from start to finish . Thankyou from us all .
Lovely holiday home, clean and everything you need, hot tub was lovely, garden fully enclosed so good if you're taking your dog. Would be absolutely perfect if you could walk down to woolacoombe but easily reached in a few mins by car.
The house was perfect for 4 of us. Close to anywhere & everywhere. There were a couple of issues with the key the toaster & a cupboard, but management were happy to send someone out to sort them for us. No problem at all. I would recommend the accommodation 100%.
Beautiful Accommodation. Really has the wow factor. A little way from Woolacombe, but ideal as quiet, and great access to walks . Very clean
Really enjoyed our stay. The place was spotless and very well presented. Could do with slightly better quality pillows enjoyed the hot tub. All in all a great place to center your holiday around.

Ideal holiday house and great hot tub in the garden! 10 minute drive to woolacombe beach as not safe to drive or walk but quieter location and easy reach to commute to many locations in North Devon. We had a great holiday and our boys loved the house!
The property was as good as home from home. Everything you could need was there. The hosts have thought of every little detail. Could not have asked for a better place to chill and enjoy a few days off
This was our second visit to the "Breakers" and again we were not disappointed Nice clean well appointed house . Hot tub very welcoming after a winters walk on the beach .
Great location. Great size accommodation. Hot tub was great. Comfy sofa. No complaints at all other than that the furniture they have there feels like it was about the cheapest they could possibly find. Very flimsy chairs and chests of drawers that half fall apart when you move them. It is just a shame as everything else was great but the experience was just let down a bit by this. That said, I would still recommend the property to others. Bit of a challenge to meet the checkout time of 9am. It would have been nice to have a little bit more time there, especially considering you cannot check in until 5pm

We stayed at the breakers over the christmas new year break and had a great time. The house is clean well presented and has everything we needed. The hot tub was a great bonus after some brisk winter walks. Despite our visit coinciding with covid restrictions ,Ocean Cottages team were on hand and very helpful. We will definitely be back .
We had a great holiday at The Breakers and really enjoyed the spacious living, dining/family area. The hot tub was a big hit with everyone (great to have extra towels supplied too!) The house was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Less than 5 minutes outside Woolacombe it is perfectly situated for walking, cycling, etc. We'd highly recommend The Breakers for a north Devon holiday.
Loved our time in this beautiful house. It was spotlessly clean, well equipped and well maintained. Everything worked as it should and the hot tub was a firm favourite with all the family. Quite honestly we didn't want to leave.
We have stayed in The Breakers and next door at High Tides on several occasions. The properties are of a very high standard and we always enjoy staying in them. The Tarka Trail runs directly behind the properties and is ideal for cycling, dog walking and running. We have already booked another stay at The Breakers for September.

We had a very relaxing time at The Breakers holiday home. It was beautifully clean and had everything by you needed. Really nicely furnished with comfortable beds. The hot tub was well maintained and lovely and hot, even on a very windy November evening. Would highly recommend this cottage.
We chose to book quite late for a short break and the service from initial enquiry through to our holiday was exceptional. The house was exactly as described and immaculately clean including the hot tub. We were close to all our favourite places in the area and enjoyed some excellent surf. We would definitely go again!!

After having arrived in Woolacombe to the most horrendous acco9mmodation booked thorugh another agency, I rang Jane at 9.30pm and by 9.45am the next day she had sorted this amazing accommodation for us. She went above and beyond to help us, amazing accommodation, amazing housekeeping and staff. Have now booked already this property for next year!
Fantastic stay - couldn't have asked for a better equipped house!!
