Description
Skylark is located at the top of Woolacombe in the development of Tarka Lane - just a short drive to Woolacombe's blue flag sandy beach and the shops, restaurants, bars etc. There is a public house and supermarket within walking distance and rural and coastal walks can be enjoyed along the Tarka Trail which will take you through Mortehoe, Lee Bay and to Ilfracombe.
Living/Dining/Cooking
The accommodation comprises large open plan kitchen/living/dining room with double height windows overlooking the large garden and out to the sea views. There is a contemporary kitchen area with built in appliances including dishwasher, oven, hob and microwave. The dining area is equipped with a table and chairs with seating for 6 people and living area with comfortable seating for 6 people, flat screen TV with freeview (allowing sign-ins to Netflix and Amazon Prime Video), Bush docking station, Wi-Fi and french doors out to the terrace.
Off the front entrance hallway is a garage which houses the washing machine and tumbledryer. The garage can be used to store any of your items while visiting.
Sleeping/Bathing
To the ground floor there is a double bedroom with modern en-suite shower room, on the same floor there is a twin bedroom with en-suite shower room.To the first floor there is a master bedroom and family bathroom with shower over bath.
There is also access to the garage/utility area with washing machine and storage for surfboards/bikes etc.
Outside
This property benefits from a large, lawned enclosed garden with large paved patio complete with coal BBQ, outside shower, hot tub (charges apply) and wetsuit hanging rail.
There is private parking for two cars at the front of the property.
The property has EV charging for vehicles, this is paid when you arrive at the property using the designated app which you access by scanning a QR code on entry - No charging leads provided.

£60 non-refundable booking fee payable at time of booking.
50% of the accommodation cost and booking fee are required to secure the booking. The remaining balance & payment for any extras is due 8 weeks prior to arrival along with the refundable damages deposit (if applicable). If your dates are within 10 weeks, full payment is required.
Check-in time is from 4pm and the check-out time is 10am.

The staff at Ocean Cottages were so helpful and always responded quickly. Skylark was a lovely house. So clean and well-equipped. The garden was good, especially for the dogs very secure and sitting in the evening beautiful. Would definitely stay at one of Ocean Cottages again a lovely holiday

Skylark was ideal for our family holiday in Woolacoombe, quiet location, with a 5 minute drive to the beach. Loved the open plan ground floor, with garden view. Nice touch with the chocolates on arrival. Only one complaint though - There were dog hairs all over the outside furniture cushions ! But would definitely stop here again when next in the area.
Lovely house, furniture seemed a little tired and we felt the hot tub charge of £200 for a few nights was just too much, so we didn't use it. Garden was lovely and the house had all the equipment you need. Bathrooms were nice too. A bit disappointed the pub at the end of the road was no longer open, as having a pub at the end of the road was one of the reasons we booked it! We had some lovely walks on the gorgeous beaches nearby and the location was so quiet and peaceful.
Beautiful home very clean, up to date, lots of space, great showers, comfy beds and hot tub if required. Perfect location 2 mins drive from the beach, lovely pub across the road very friendly great food. Highly recommend
We had a lovely holiday at skylark. The house was very clean and the kitchen well equipped. Loved the hot tub and the garden too especially as we took our dog along. I can't fault ocean cottages they were very informative and any questions I had they answered straight away . We would definitely go again and I would definitely use ocean cottages again.
Cleanliness was amazing every bathroom and bedroom were spotless on arrival. Again in strange times was nice to see it was a priority. Plenty of space inside big kitchen with everything needed in there. Hot tub was lovely, the only thing I would say is that if you've got pets take lots of extra towels as the garden was abit of a mud bath due to the rain. But we pet owners expect that anyway. Overall lovely stay some lovely Sunsets if you catch them just over looking the sea. Spacious and modern. And a great local pub just at the bottom of the lane where you can take the dogs in and they like to feed them steak. Lovely touch.

We had a great stay in Skylark. the hot tub was amazing. Also the beach was massive and we even went boogie boarding. we met our friends and played with our friends at the beach.

Saunton Sands - Miles of sand and clear waters - dog friendly - brethtakingly beautiful.

Tarr Steps - Worth a visit for the woodland walk along the river, watch out for the Horseflies!!
We've had fabulous beach days at Barricane Beach - seen the sights on the Princess Cruise in Ilfracome, visited the Ilfracombe Aquarium and had a great day at Coombe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park. Skylark and Tarka Lane is the perfect place to set up home for a lovely week in North Devon. We have thoroughly enjoyed it again! More memories made.
