Saunton Sands is a fabulous three and a half mile west-facing beach which enjoys brilliant breakers with fabulous surfing conditions and is firmly on the surfers' radar! The sand dunes which are the largest in England, provide a wonderful playground for the children and are a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve with a wealth of flora and fauna.

The wonderful Sands on the beach catering establishment, nestles behind the sand dunes with a large terrace for outside dining and is positioned above the showers and surfboard hire shop and toilets. There is also a beach shop together with café and there are surfboard and SUP lessons, surfboards, and sea-kayaks for hire and, for some fun, sand buggies. The beach is very popular for kite surfing and is dog friendly too! Overlooking the beach is the Saunton Sands Hotel, a popular venue for weddings and celebrations and the restaurant and bars are open to non-residents.

Saunton Golf Club was formed in 1897, now with two championship links courses is listed in Golf World's top 100 courses. At Westward Ho! The Royal North Devon Golf Club is accessible being England's oldest established golf links. Atlantic Vista One80 is the perfect venue for golfing enthusiasts.

The nearby village of Braunton which is one of the largest villages in the West of England and can offer Tesco supermarket, banks, chemist, surf shops and numerous catering establishments including Riverside, At One, Corner Bistro and the very popular Squires Fish & Chip Shop! The Tarka Trail can also be here and covers 30 miles of trails following the old railways of North Devon.
