Sands End is in a quiet road just before the village and by a lane that leads directly to the beach. Both village and beach a few minutes walk away. The garden is very secure for a dog and the property clean and very well equipped. My family have rented Sands End a number of times in recent years and plan to do so again in the future.

We love this house - its the second time we've stayed here and we will definately be back! The layout of the house is fantastic...its beautifully decorated and very well equipped..it was also spotlessly clean on arrival!

We stayed as a family of 6 with two fur babies over New Year and had a lovely week We all had a lot of space Beds very comfortable Kitchen had everything we needed. Lovely bathrooms. Fabulous shower outside which is hot and cold brilliant for washing off wetsuits/ mucky boots/dogs Could do with some more outside lighting only an issue for winter in summer its a lovely outside space. We parked 3 cars on drive ideal location for beach and village

Sands End is a gorgeous modern but cosy home, with a lovely large open-plan family area, enabling you all to spend time together while you're away. It very thoughtfully offers everything you could possibly need for a stay away from home and was very well equipped with extra towels for its guests, more than ample glasses, cutlery and kitchen equipment and had books and games for us to use - it was also spotlessly clean on arrival! - we have been staying in Croyde for many years now, usually twice a year and this is definitely my favourite house so far - we will hopefully be back next year x

Lovely few days at Sands End cottage. Visiting Croyde after many years and it was lovely to have such convenient access to the beach, evoking many happy memories. The cottage had the best equipped kitchen ever, there was nothing I couldn't source!! Good sized garden for dogs and lovely roomy open plan living. Very comprehensive instructions for equipment and requirements for waste sorting. Couldn't find any instructions for EV charger but eventually worked it out.

Well appointed house in great location . Sun trap in back garden which is nicely secluded. Useful outside warm shower to get rid of sand from the beach & washing the dog! Enclosed garden which is safe for dogs & young children.

We thought the cottage was perfect. Lots of space for 6 foot 5 teenagers-we loved the open plan lounge. Spotlessly clean and very well appointed. Garden very secure for our little dog. Hot tub very much enjoyed after a long day on the beach. Croyde is a beautiful place to stay with lovely beaches, great walks, good surf and not too over developed. We will definitely stay with ocean cottages again. Thank you.

We have been coming to this area for many years, but this time we swapped ice cream and flip flops for hot chocolate and log fires. We have enjoyed Christmas in such a lovely home and in such a great location. Appreciate the Christmas decs and Christmas tree as we couldn't bring one as our cars were full!! Thanks again as we has such a lovely Christmas at Croyde.

House perfect and location 

Thank you very much for this brill house! We are coming back! Surfing, rock pooling, The Thatch, hot tubing, all done on this trip!

We have experienced all types of weather but it did not dampen our enjoyment of Croyde's fabulous beach, and this beautiful house. 

Lovely accommodation. Good sized bedrooms and brilliant large family room area off well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed the hot tub! The hot outside shower was a boon for cleaning up the dog (but it needs a new shower head) Although there is no sea-view the property is a maximum of 10 mins walk to the glorious sandy beach and access to cliff -top walks. The hot water is very hot and it would be better if there were a notice to warn visitors. Would love to visit again, the perfect holiday space in all ways.

Lovely spacious property, well equipped and clean. The perfect place for a family get together. Close to the beach and all the amenities. We would happily stay there again.

With the beach a 10 minute stroll from the house "Sands end "is in a really good location for those who like the beach. The house had everything we all needed to enjoy a relaxing break away and celebrate a milestone Anniversary with our family . A Stylish large table and spacious well equipped kitchen .The beds were very comfortable as were the sofas in the spacious living area and the hot tub was a enormous bonus which was enjoyed by all ages. Every member of our party really enjoyed their stay at this spotlessly clean and very comfortable house. A big thanks to the owners and Ocean cottages.

Another wonderful stay in Croyde. Sands End is in an extremely good location, close to the beach as well as the shops and pubs. A very comfortable, spacious and well appointed holiday home. The hot tub is a bonus! Shame the dishwasher was out of use for our entire two week stay and a tumble dryer would really have made a difference to our family. An enjoyable stay.

Sands End was the perfect holiday let, top class accommodation and location. Ample room for an extended family of multiple generations. Enclosed private garden which benefitted from sun all day. Just a five minute stroll through the dunes to the beach, we hardly used our cars all week. We loved it so much that we've booked again!

Would book this house again, handy for sea, lovely hot tub, and really nice quality home fittings and utensils etc. So often one rents with basic mugs, cheap cutlery etc, this was entirely different, we were so glad the quality was there because the weather was awful, but not put us off we will be back!

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely house. It was beautifully decorated and clean with lots of space so could easily accommodate a larger family if required. The outside space was also really well kept and we enjoyed the use of the hot tub after returning from bodyboarding at the beach each morning. We hardly used the car all week as everything in the village is walking distance and the local restaurants are catering well under the current restrictions with take away services or seating with adequate social distancing. If we were to suggest a couple of improvements to the property based on others we have stayed in in Croyde, it could definitely benefit from a tumble dryer as we struggled to get beach towels and swimwear dried and ready for the next day. It would also be useful to have a covered area outside for hanging wetsuits to dry off.

Sands End was the perfect choice of accommodation for our family holiday in delightful Croyde. It was very clean, comfortable, spacious and well maintained, making it very easy to settle in to. The hot tub was a great asset too! The location was spot on, being in easy walking distance of the beach and village. Would love to return to this property.

We were very impressed with Sands End, very clean and tidy. Loved the hot tub. A tumble dryer would have been handy but not sure where you would install one! The location for the beach was brilliant especially as our 2 year old granddaughter wanted to walk there and back every time! Ha ha. A little confused about the bin collection. Also very impressed with the service from Ocean Cottages and will be recommending them to family and friends. Thank you, we had a brilliant family holiday, just what we needed.

Sands End is located just a few minutes from the pubs and shops in the village and there is a short almost car free walk to the beach. We were the first rental after lock down was eased and some of the stuff that makes Sands End comfortable like the settee cushions and seat pads for the outside furniture had been removed because they cannot be made COVID safe. I would strongly recommend all guests to bring a couple of cushions with them and something to pad the outside chairs otherwise they are pretty unusable. The kitchen whilst less well equipped than usual still contained enough stuff for us to cook everything we wanted to. The BBQ is great and we used a local butcher in Braunton (Reeds) for meat. Sands End is a very comfortable property with space for 3 cars on the drive. The beds are comfy and having a SMART TV means we can still sign into Netflix etc... We only ate out once but used local takeaways Blue Groove, Pop Up Pizza in the Village and Hobs. The fairs and markets in Croyde (Tuesday/Thursday/Sunday) when we visited were a lovely diversion after being stuck at home indoors for weeks. This was our second holiday in Sands End and we are already rebooked for October and next July.

This is a fantastic space for a family or two families. It has excellent decor, and is really well equipped with all that you need. The location is perfect,a lovely quiet road that has immediate access via an easy footpath to the beach. Space for two cars and more on the street if you need. Very easy little walk into croyde, we absolutely loved it and so did our girls ages 4 and 1.

Sands End is a very beautifully presented well equipped house in a great location in Croyde. Just a short walk from both village and beach. We parked two large cars on the driveway easily. The garden shed stored all our body boards and the outside hot/cold shower was really welcome after being in the sea. The house was warm when we arrived and the heating worked very well. Although we didn't cook indoors it is evident that there is ample pots/pans/oven trays etc... in the kitchen and the fridge freezer is family size. As a family we enjoyed our short November break enormously and are already looking forward to our 2 weeks in Sands End next Summer

This is a modern large property with an excellent kitchen with everything in it you could possibly want. The outdoor warm shower for post surfing is absolutely perfect. It's very close to the village and beach. We had a great week and it's a luxury to come back from surfing, using the outdoor shower and relax in the hot tub! Five star.

Lovely bungalow, spotless on arrival. Comfortable beds, Croyde itself never lets us down.  Only suggestion to improve, is to have a television in the Master Bedroom and hair dryer, otherwise facilities excellent.

 

 

Family joined us for a couple of days to celebrate my 60^th and then we enjoyed just being my husband and I for the last 4 days.  Will use Ocean Cottages again.  Many thanks.

Good : Really nice place, location and facilities v good. We had a v good holiday. near to excellent beach, super village house is very well equipped for 8 people dog. Quiet fully enclosed rear garden. Not so good: Upon arrival toilet seat broken ; took 2 days for someone to fix it. 2 bathroom sink plugs stuck down and drains leaking around rear of property. At this price I expect better.

We stayed at Sands End the first week of July and were so pleased that we choose that property. It was spacious, modern, close to Croyde village and the beach. The property is very well appointed - it has literally everything you can possibly need - so on reflection we didn't need to bring as many things from home! Bedrooms are all great - with very nice pillows and linens. The BBQ out the back is great - plenty of space to cook a meal for the family. Could not fault our stay here one bit...only downside was that we had to go home in the end!

The house was perfect and had a lovely feel. It was a good size, light and modern. The house had a fully equipped kitchen with everything we needed. There was a great size garden which was maintained with a lovely seating area ideal for BBQ's and a hot tub. The location of the property was great with a short walk to the beach, shops and restaurants. The Deli does a great breakfast! The property was dog friendly with a secure garden. We very much enjoyed our 2 weeks here and we loved North Devon!

I cannot fault this house, everything was well thought out for a perfect holiday. Great location, close to beach and village centre. Kitchen had everything you needed for great family meals. I have visited Croyde many times and this is the best place I have stayed, great for a large family holiday.

Beautifully decorated seaside accommodation, the decor and fittings are all well thought through and good quality - granite kitchen, coffee machine, quality bedding - made it feel like a nice place to stay. The cottage was a great layout for our family of 4 plus grandparents as the downstairs 2 rooms and bathroom have a door to separate them from the rest of the house, and a large ensuite bedroom upstairs for a more quiet space. The lounge/kitchen is a great socialising space for families and very well equipped (48 cutlery knives !). The only thing that let it down was the lack of stairgate in an otherwise family friendly property - high chairs and cots are provided but when I asked about about a stairgate I was told that one won't be supplied and any damages caused by one we bring and use will be deducted from our deposit. The stairs are in the centre of the house in the open hallway and it made our stay very tricky at times, constantly checking our toddler was in the right place and the living room door was shut at all times. I'm surprised that toddlers are obviously welcomed, with the provision of a highchair, but their safety not a priority. Otherwise a great size, well equipped property and good location.

Finding great holiday accommodation is difficult when you have varying ages, kids, dog and a couple of cars but this was easy. Booking was simple, website works well and the accommodation was exactly as described. Well done team for getting just the right amount of communication, friendly and informative. Sandy Shores is a great house, everything you need is there. The Clubhouse in the garden (which the kids named 'The Pod') is a great idea. Normally kids get bored so easy but with the games console, tele, comfy sofa etc they loved it. House is very comfy, spacious with a great layout and never felt crowded. 15 minute gentle walk to Croyde beach and 10 mins to the pub. Great having three good bathrooms so no waiting. Decent sized fridge meant lots of room for cold drinks (and beer ☺ plus a wine cooler) was fab. All in all a very chilled out holiday in a kid / dog freindly house, very close to everything, thankyou!
