Set in a former grand Edwardian house, Lorna Doone, this spacious 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, ground floor apartment with private sun deck is ideally located, just a short walk to the beach and village amenities. Croyde Sands Lorna Doone, is undergoing improvements over Winter 2024- Spring 2025 including a replacement kitchen and bathroom. The flooring throughout the property, plus the furniture in the main living area are also being replaced. As a result, there will be significant changes to the property, which will be rephotographed once the works have been completed. In the meantime, the photographs shown depict the property prior to the improvements and give you an idea of the layout of the property.
Living/Dining/Cooking
The open plan living/dining/kitchen area is well equipped and provides plenty of entertaining space for the whole family. The kitchen area provides an oven and hob, dishwasher and washing machine along with all the utensils and equipment you would expect. There is a dining table with seating for 6 and the living area provides comfortable seating for 6 with a Smart flatscreen TV and French doors out to the terrace

There is a master bedroom with en suite shower room and 2 x twin bedrooms
Bathing
The family bathroom has a bath and separate shower and the master bedroom has an en-suite shower room. Both bathrooms benefit from underfloor heating.
Outside
There are 2 dedicated off road parking spaces for this apartment. There is exclusive use of the large terrace which is accessed from the living/dining room and also from the side of the property. A large, communal lawned garden gives a lovely feeling of space and is a great area for children to explore.

£60 non-refundable booking fee payable at time of booking.
50% of the accommodation cost and booking fee are required to secure the booking. The remaining balance & payment for any extras is due 8 weeks prior to arrival along with the refundable damages deposit (if applicable). If your dates are within 10 weeks, full payment is required.
Check-in time is from 4pm and the check-out time is 10am.
Linen and hand/bath towels are provided free of charge.

The apartment at Lorna Doone was in a great location. Close to both the beach and few shops. The kitchen was very well equipped if you wanted to cook. The garden in particular was a hit with the grandchildren.
We had a great time @ Lorna Doone, A great apartment lots of space, we especially appreciated the outside space, the decking and the access to the garden was exceptional
Apart from the extraction in the bathroom sounding like a 747 taking off And the kitchen not being very well equipped ,it was a very nice apartment. In a very good location.
A beautifully presented property with plenty of room and a light and airy living space/kicthen/dining room. The expansive lawn and private decking provided a great outdoor space. And only a 2 minute walk to the beach, and a 10 minute walk into the centre of the village. It is a great apartment for singles, couples or a smaller family.
We loved the apartment But let down by the following: Very uncomfortable sofas. Strong smell of damp particularly in the main living area and kitchen. En-suite bathroom in need of TLC, shabby mirror and grouting. Loose/damaged door trims - trip hazard Mould behind glass behind kitchen sink For these reasons we can only give 3 stars and sadly will not be returning. Very good Covid prep!
Really enjoyed our stay at Lorna Doone. A little frustrating the oven didn't work on all settings and this was not clear in the welcome pack (despite what the owners said), however this was minor issue and the location of the property was perfect for the beach.
