Croyde Bay Apartment

This is our second stay at this apartment and it is a lovely place to stay. Very well equipped, quiet location but close to all the amenities the village of Croyde has to offer. The hosts are very friendly, welcoming and helpful with ideas of where to visit, etc. We will definitely be back.

Perfect location being in the centre of Croyde but tucked away in a quiet close and walking distance to the Thatch.

Lovely apartment. We were looked after well by owners Gill and Rus. Apartment is very close to village of Croyde and short walk to beach.

This was my first adventure in "going it alone" and Gill and Russ made me feel I could ask them anything and were very welcoming. The apartment was equipped with everything I needed, including a private outdoor seating area and sun loungers. I would have welcomed some written instructions about operating the TV, the wifi/TP link and the microwave as I'm not very IT confident, but my lovely hosts were on hand, or at the end of a phone, to offer help and advice when it was needed. The apartment is situated very near the heart of Croyde village and the walk to the beach, via a public footpath, only took 10 minutes. I would love to revisit this ideally situated apartment to explore more of the North Devon coast and countryside.

We booked late as we had an unexpected few days away. This is a super little apartment, very clever design to make maximum use of the space available. The position is perfect for beach and pubs. The hosts were super helpful and friendly. Would recommend for a couple or solo traveller.

I had a great week here, using the apartment as a base to walk sections of the nearby S.W. Coastal path. Croyde is a delightful little village with several beaches in easy reach. I used the local bus service which seems to be one an hour, which is OK. Russ & Gill are a lovely couple and were absolutely brilliant and helpful to me, probably they are the biggest asset of this property.

Had a fantastic mini break here in November . The apartment was immaculate and toasty warm . The hosts were fantastic- very helpful- nothing was too difficult for them to do for me.

Brilliant location as the property is so close to great pubs/restaurants. The beach is also close by and is a lovely walk too. Very cosy and homely, the perfect place to relax from time off work. We had a fantastic week, thank you Gill and Russ for a warm welcome. Going to Croyde in October has been a family tradition for around 40 years - my family have stayed in many places in Croyde and I would highly recommend this apartment as it was very clean, modern and comfortable. Thank you!

Despite the bad weather we had a fabulous time away. It was our first with our 4 week old baby girl and we loved that we could make good use of our new pram and walk to the beach. The apartment had everything we needed and the hosts were very attentive, even offering to tumble dry any wet clothes after a horrendous rain shower. We will definitely be back. Thank you

Lovely little apartment for two people. Enough space to quietly entertain a few close friends. Well equipped for daily needs. Owners live in attached property, are really friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Great night out with Elvis. If you've done it you'll understand it. Definitely worth a week if you are in the area. Fantastic wood fired pizza in village centre at night. Pleasant walk to the local beach which has lovely sand and gently sloping beach.

What can you say other than it was everything we expected and with the owners adding that oh so important ingredient of making us feel straight at home we had a great time. Its in great location we took our bikes so we got to the beach or where ever we wanted to go quickly as everything is so handy to get to even without your bikes. Defo stay there again first chance we get. Great place but it was the owners who made it really special for us. They just couldn't do enough for us.

we had an amazing time away and that was mainly due to the properties location, cleanliness and facilities. The landlord even guided us through the apartment and showed us everything we may need! Customer service was fantastic - I would highly recommend this apartment!

Very impressed with the studio & the lovely warm welcome from the owners. Everything provided within the apartment was perfect for a weeks break. We enjoyed Croyde over 2 years ago with the children and its change slightly however the beach it still superb. The welcome wine and flowers was a really nice touch, thank you.

A lovely apartment just like home from home. A warm welcome from the owners and a delight to receive a bottle of fizz, chocolates & flowers for valentines weekend. A fab quiet location and a most comfortable stay. We will return in the warm weather so we can enjoy the drinking!

We absolutely loved Croyde Bay apartment. It had everything we needed and was so stylish and comfortable. The outside area was lovely and it was so nice to have space to relax outside with a glass of wine and have a BBQ! Croyde is lovely and the apartment was a minute walk away from the restaurants and shops and a 10 minute walk to the beach, it is in the perfect location. The owners were also really friendly and made us feel so welcome. We had a brilliant holiday and would definitely return!

The apartment was exactly as stated online and was very clean when we arrived. We were greeted when we arrived and shown around the accommodation as well as given a few tips about getting to the beach, where to visit etc. The owners were very friendly and overall we had a fantastic holiday! Would definitely go back again!

We spent a lovely week here in glorious weather in June, with friends and family also staying locally. This is a nice, tidy, well equipped modern apartment tucked away less than two minutes walk from the centre of the village. It is compact, but is very adequate for two people, and we found it most comfortable. The outside terrace was a really good sun trap, and nice to sit out on during the evening, enjoying the summer sun. The owners Russ & Gill were very accommodating and friendly, and keen to make sure everything was how we wanted it - a very minor hot water problem was fixed very quickly for example. Complementary bottle in the fridge and lots of local event info was very useful. Our only minor niggle was not being able to connect to the wifi, although there was a lot of BT infrastructure work going on in the area through the week which may explain it. However, many of the pubs and cafes have free access, as did our friends' rental, so didn't impinge at all. Croyde itself is lovely and really needs no further commendation. It's a great place to stay and use as a foothold for exploring the local area, with brilliant beaches, great walks (and runs!), and spectacular scenery. I'd be very happy to return to the Croyde Bay Apartment, and hope others will be as happy there as we were.

Spotlessly clean and modern, well thought out one bedroom apartment. Ten minute walk to the beach in Croyde and plenty of walks in the area. Russ & Gill were friendly and helpful owners who offered advice on where to go and where to eat. The free use of body boards came in handy. Pubs and local shops are two minutes away and Croyde retains its unspolit, cool and villagey feel. Can't find a fault - even the weather was amazing
